PERFLEX DE FILTERS

DE filters use a powdered sedimentary rock made up of fossilized remains of algae-like organisms, called diatoms.

With DE filters, when you backwash (clean out) your unit you must add DE powder to recharge your filter, this is the media that removes all the dirt and debris in your swimming pool.

Perflex Extended-Cycle D.E. filters contain fingers that will be covered by the DE filter powder when you add it. Please follow filter instruction on this process.
